This entry marks the 33rd posting to Refreshmas. We are fast approaching our fourth year and with this posting we (I) complete our 3rd calendar year as we enter 2013 and look forward to many more Refreshmas celebrations. Thanks to all who have visited and supported us since the early days and to those joining us anew: a warm welcome.

A Chilly

A happy and chilly Refreshmas, this November 2012.
It has been a month of variety in refreshing beverages: hops and scotches...and beyond.
Some were very good. And others? Well... don't say anything at all.
A month of variety all round - in beverages, in food, in home and work.

Remember your gloves, watch out for crows, check your pressure and remember to breathe.

The colours of autumn are everywhere. The rains have returned and the chill is just around the corner. A cathedral of brilliant yellow leaves usurps the false authority of the cathedral nearby.

Perhaps a Leffe in Brugge might take the chill off an autumn evening?

Autumn 2012...leaves are turning...

... there's a chill in the air. summer passes far too quickly. but, with the autumn comes new opportunities for refreshmas...

Refreshmas - Summer 2012 - Rejoice!

I want to be the first to wish you all a Happy Refreshmas(TM)! Enjoy responsibly. This is the final Refreshmas(TM) of Summer 2012. A little sad? No, rejoice. There's no time to live in the past. Live for now and look forward to  Refreshmases to come.

This month's photo, was on a visit to Belgium, in the lovely medieval town of Brugge and a small cafe that offered excellent shelter from the intermittent rain, free wi-fi (hear that Germany!?) and a lovely and refreshing local beverage.

Lots of Refreshmas(TM) photos taken on the 4-week odyssey in the Euro zone. Could have, should have taken more for Refreshmas(TM), but, hey, I was enjoying, wasn't I? ;-)

a bland little IPA from a free house in Temple Bar. Can't all be winners. It tasted like the picture looks.

Summer Refreshmas 2012

It might not seem like Summer, but it has returned again. Sunny days and long Summer evenings. Get out and enjoy. It'll warm up in no time.

Well, sometimes we get busy, and sometimes we forget, or forget to remember. All the best for a May Refreshmas.

Hello

Spring is upon us. Though it's not so warm. The flowers are in bloom. Nice. 

Spring?

It just doesn't seem to end!

This winter has been damp, wet, cold, dark, windy, gray, rainy, icy, blustery, bone-chilling and more. What happened to cold, clear days in winter? We didn't get any! I'm from here and I'm getting tired of it. I think I've been spoiled by the cool, clear, dry winters in Tokyo.

That being said, it is "officially" spring. The blossoms are abloom. But it is still chilly and damp. What better way to warm your cockles (where does that come from?) than with a brilliant 5am Saint?

A very fresh refreshmas!

It is a very fresh and blustery Refreshmas for February, 2012.

Had a whisky night a few weeks back. a small and intimate group. Was a lovely evening and a great opportunity to sample a wide array of single malts (mostly mine).

Are you thinking what I'm thinking? Yes? That's weird. And, how would you know?...
